Group Financial Accountant

Group Financial Accountant | North Manchester (2 days in office) | �50,000 - �55,000 | PE backed
Axon Moore are working with a market leading PE backed services business who are searching for a Group Financial Accountant to join their newly created group function.�
As the Group Financial Accountant, you will be expected to demonstrate initiative and leadership skills, be a confident communicator and have experience of maintaining strong and robust financial controls and processes. You will be responsible for:

• Production of accurate group consolidated monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statement) in line with deadlines
• Responsible for monthly and ad-hoc reporting to Private Equity owners
• Month-end ledger close for bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger for all companies
• Ownership of certain central cost centres, ensuring management accounts are accurate and challenging the results against budget
• Responsible for maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations for all companies.
• Preparation of statutory accounts for several entities under the Group�
• Budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Improve current group reporting, ensuring there is a defined process when new acquisitions are brought into the group and all relevant data is held centrally
• Preparation of financial reports on a timely basis, providing accurate commentary and investigation into variances when required
• Assist with new acquisitions where needed and ensure their results can be consolidated into the group accounts

Person specification:

• ACA/ACCA Qualified with a top 10 accounting background
• Offer considerable experience in preparing and/or auditing statutory accounts
• Possess strong numeracy and analytical skills, supported by excellent technical skills.
• Strong excel skills
