As one of the UK's leading players in the FMCG market we pride ourselves on setting high standards, being courageous and pushing ourselves to think outside the bottle.About the Role:The Group Finance Director (GFD) position is a key hire in the wider Britvic Leadership team and is a pivotal role in deputising for the Group CFO, ensuring that the CFO is well supported in all plc and Board related matters. The role is instrumental in ensuring that the coordination and communication of all aspects of finance and governance are resourced and executed accordingly. The GFD provides a critical role in presenting financial information to the Board and Executive Team, in doing so it is of utmost importance that both the financial information and supporting narrative are produced in a clear and concise manner.Working in partnership with the wider Executive and Leadership teams across the business, the GFD will need to successfully interface with the Board, including the Chair of the Audit Committee and the CEO.The GFD will be required to play a significant leadership role, combining the global functions of group financial control, finance shared services, group reporting and group financial planning and analysis.Additionally, the role will deliver functional expertise, positively impacting the business from a commercial and financial perspective, create best-in-class capability and succession planning for the wider finance community and develop a leading-edge financial control and governance framework. The finance team needs to be a well integrated and well respected part of the wider commercial and operational business teams.Key Responsibilities:Provide progressive, modern, energetic leadership of group finance incorporating but not limited to:Supporting the CFO on all plc and Board related matters.Provision of commercial financial information for robust decision making and support.Leading and co-ordinating all aspects of group financial accounting, reporting and control.Setting the agenda for all aspects of controls, governance, financial frameworks, business planning cycles and financial planning and analysis from a group perspective.Oversight of finance shared services.Input to group investor relations in partnership with the CEO, CFO and Director of Group Strategy.Driving delivery of the business plan including challenging and supporting business unit leadership teams from a financial, strategic and commercial perspective.Managing relationships with External Auditors and other external advisors.Ensure proper preparation for annual financial audit and participate in Board and Audit Committee meetings.Supporting M&A activity as required.Develop the infrastructure, systems and controls within the business by:Assessing and driving necessary change across the financial control framework to create a best in class control function.Continue to develop the Finance Operating Model for the group.Demonstrating the ability to drive consistency, standardisation and effectiveness across process, control and systems.Ensure compliance with all accounting standards within the context of a rigorous control and risk management culture.Leading and optimising shared services across the group to improve efficiency and deliver to stretching operational KPIs.Taking a hands-on governance role, demonstrating technical and commercial expertise around control, reporting and analysis.Promoting improvement in the operational performance of the business and developing a culture of continuous improvement.In a fast paced, international environment continuously upgrade financial planning insight and commercial analysis to drive performance by:Demonstrating the strategic and tactical capability to deliver an impact on the top and bottom line of the business.Working closely with commercial, operational, financial and functional colleagues to deliver the future direction of the business.Leading the implementation of automated solutions across FP&A, increasing value add to the Group.Contributing to the business strategic plans and setting of financial targets and delivery of robust, appropriate internal reporting.Providing detailed commercial support from finance, liaising with the business and finance leaders to drive performance management across the business.Lead business partnering to support Group functions in delivering their strategic and financial plans and promoting a continuous improvement mindset.Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:Demonstrable leadership experience.Highly personable and relationship driven.Proven influencing skills, both at Board and cross functional levels.Experience working in an international and diverse business.Strong commercial acumen, as well as demonstrable business partnering experience.Confidence and gravitas in working with and challenging senior stakeholders.Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.Able to distil complex issues, technical challenges and new regulations in clear and simple language.Qualifications:Degree or equivalent.Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).We believe we are stronger together and that's why we're committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and employees.
