We have a requirement for Group Environmental Advisor with one of our key clients, a leading subsea engineering service company. Based on 12 months PAYE / Agency Worker contract with lucrative day rate, benefits and hybrid working arrangements. Located in Aberdeen or London
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support the Group Environmental Director with environmental planning and strategy.
- ‘Horizon scanning’ for upcoming environmental legislation changes.
- Promote collaboration on environmental topics globally.
- Prepare quarterly environmental communications and liaise with Communications team to coordinate issue.
- Identify and manage environmental risks.
- Assist as required in response to environmental incidents and risks.
- Prepare for future Environmental legislative requirements.
- Provide Environmental data compliance support and guidance to the group and global teams.
- Review of the Environmental Impact Assessments and assist in developing mandatory minimum global standards.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree / Academic qualification, ideally in an environmental or related discipline.
- Relevant years’ experience in Environmental or Sustainability function.
- Membership of a recognised environmental professional body – e.g. IEMA (desirable).
- Working knowledge of the HSSE requirements within the UKCS regulatory regime
- Environmental-related experience in the oil and gas.
- Up to date knowledge of UK practice and environmental law and their impacts
