Ref: 36169Our client, a leading Asset Manager, are looking to hire a Group Consolidation Accountant for a 6-month contract. This role involves overseeing all financial reporting aspects and the preparation of consolidated results for the European sector. Upholding the core values of delivering timely, precise, and pertinent financial data to internal stakeholders is essential. The position involves active participation in all facets of the group's reporting and managing spontaneous team projects.Key Responsibilities:Managing financial reporting for multi-entity, multi-currency groups across Europe, including consolidating month-end results, analysing outcomes, and preparing quarterly reporting packs for consolidation.Being the primary point of contact for global colleagues regarding European group reporting, maintaining intra-group relationships, reconciling intercompany loans, and addressing imbalances promptly.Assisting in accounting for group acquisitions and restructures, ensuring post-restructure integration and consistency across the group, while providing regular management reporting to internal stakeholders.Developing strong relationships with Corporate Executives, overseeing ad hoc projects, system upgrades, and supporting shared service departments in their contributions to Finance.Identifying process gaps, implementing improvements, and guiding team members to ensure best practices and consistency across regions.Required Skills:Qualified Accountant (3 - 5 years PQE), possessing a strong academic background with a degree.Proficient in effective oral and written communication, deadline-oriented, with good time management and organizational skills.Highly skilled in group accounting fundamentals, capable of making decisions on technical accounting matters, and experienced in multi-currency group consolidations.Proficiency in Excel and the MS Office applications suite.Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a positive work environment, free from discrimination, violence, or harassment, and promoting diversity and equal opportunities within the workplace.This is a great opportunity to join an elite firm within the Asset Management industry.
