Operating across UK and Ireland with partners in 25 countries across the world.A highly innovative, market leading business with a people and planet centric approach to their success.We are currently seeking to recruit a Group Accountant on a full time, permanent basis to be based at their HQ in their Belfast Centre Office.What’s in it for?Annual Salary reviews31 days holiday (including 8 statutory days) increasing with years’ serviceEmployee 5% pension, company 7% contributions increasing with years’ service to a maximum of 10%Enhanced company sick pay schemeDeath in service (6 x basic salary)Cycle to work schemeComprehensive training and developmentCash Plan Healthcare schemeLength of service recognitionPaid professional subscriptionsAccess to our benefits platformHybrid working options available at the end of probationary periodFree tea and coffee on all sites as well as lots of social events!Roles & Responsibilities;Partner with the Group Financial Director to elevate the company’s financial performance to new heights.Preparation of comprehensive management and statutory year-end accounts for all companies.Prepare dynamic half-year management accountsTake the lead on auditing company research grants with Innovate UK, showcasing our innovative edge.Conduct meticulous valuation and write-down of stock at year-end, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Strategically plan and distribute budgets, to ensure financial strategy is met.Ensure timely and accurate submission of statistical surveys, keeping us ahead of the curve.Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, expertly handling foreign currency transactions.Travel to subsidiary sites to perform thorough half-year and year-end stocktakes, ensuring precise cut-off procedures.Reconcile card payments with customer accounts.What we are looking for;Ideally you will be a newly qualified accountant but part qualified may also be considered with extensive experienceAble to demonstrate previous experience and/or knowledge in managing budgets, formulating management accounts, detailed understanding of basic sales ledger & purchase ledger processing, manufacturing processes and stock controlMeticulous attention to detailStrong communication skillsProblem solving skillsExperience of Microsoft suite & strong ability within Excel.Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a teamStrong work ethic with a can-do attitudeIf this sounds like an opportunity that could potentially be of interest to you, simply get in touch with Nathaniel Ferris by applying to this advertisement or giving me a call.
