The role that they are looking to fill has a broad remit to take in management and legislative reporting for the business along with day-to-day governance for the operation of the finance department.Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a number 2 role in the accounting team with the following key responsibilities:Preparation and analysis of management accountsAssisting with year-end financial statement preparation.Deputising for the FD where required.Control of the audit process.Payroll systems control.Forecasting and budgeting.Costing, pricing and stock valuation.Continuous process improvement of the finance department.This is a pivotal role in the finance team and as such would suit a fully or nearly qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA with experience working within a group function.
