Job DescriptionPrepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.Create and implement effective strategies for financial performance and organisational growth.Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.Review and improve financial reporting processes.Manage the day-to-day activities of the accounting team.Perform other duties as required. The Successful Applicant A successful Group Accountant should have:A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.A professional accounting certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).Proficiency in financial reporting and financial management.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.High level of competence in Excel and financial software packages.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. What's on OfferAn annual salary ranging between £54,000 and £66,000, depending on experience.A supportive and collaborative work environment in the not-for-profit sector.A chance to make a difference in the education sector.
