Wilmington Plc are now recruiting for a Group Accountant!Location: London – Hybrid, E1 8QSSalary: £27K – £35K per annum, DOE + Benefits!Contract: Full time, PermanentBenefits: Hybrid Working, Performance-Related Bonus, Pension, Life Assurance, Additional Holiday Purchase, Health Cash Plan, Subsidised Gym Memberships, Cycle to Work scheme, Discount Vouchers and Access to Wellbeing Resources.You already have some accountancy experience and are looking for an excellent opportunity to train to become a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) through an Apprenticeship whilst gaining experience within a high-profile FTSE listed group finance function.Here you will be able to gain strong IFRS accounting experience, FP&A, along with gaining an insight into a tax and treasury function!We’re Wilmington plc, a group of businesses united by governance, risk and compliance.Acting as a trusted partner, we help our customers to do the right business in the right way as they navigate the Regulatory Compliance landscape.If you’re looking for innovation, opportunity, and community, you’ll find them all and more here.As a Group Accountant, you will be assisting the Senior Group Finance Manager with a number of financial tasks, some of which we have listed below:Assist with the preparation of monthly consolidated financial reports for the BoardAssist the Group Finance team with the production of the Annual and Interim reports and IFRS accountsDevelop strong technical accounting knowledge to assist the Group Finance team in complex areas such as Share based payments and Acquisition and Disposal AccountingAssist in the preparation of statutory accounts for UK and overseas entitiesAssist with information requests relating to UK and overseas tax returnsAssist in the preparation of budget and forecast financial schedules and reportsBuild strong relationships within the wider finance team and across WilmingtonReview of monthly accounts for the plc costs entityDeveloping an understanding of Business Central accounting software and supporting continuous improvement in reporting financial informationIn order to be successful in this role you must have:A strong exam track record to date, demonstrating progression towards ACCA – Applied Skill level (or above) or ACA- professional level (or above)Excellent numeracy and communication skillsStrong Excel and Word skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritise and adhere to timetablesA commitment to becoming an ACCA/ACA qualified accountantStrong attention to detailDesirable requirements for this role include:Previous experience in a similar role or industryA high level of personal drive and motivationA proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to use initiativeA positive outlook and ‘can-do’ attitudeIs passionate about their progression within the world of FinanceLoves to learn both knowledge and skills, responds well to coaching and is keen to progressIs a creative question-asker and a solution-finderIs able to work in a fast paced, fun and progressive environmentEnjoys a challenge – we work hard, and it can be a steep learning curveBefore you go… Find what you’re looking for!Our people sought out empowerment and opportunity.
