Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative with experience of leading a team or an ambition to move into a supervisory position? Working with the UK's premier soft landscaping provider, we are in search of an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative or Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to support an established contract covering the local cemeteries. In this role you will lead the team, drive and encourage performance and foster an environment of passion towards the cemeteries and those who visit them. The Grounds Maintenance team's attitude towards the work will elevate the cemetery experience for those in the local Solihull area, and you will be the champion for this.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and maintenance of the cemeteries; looking after biodiversity, habitats and a vast array of horticultural features.
  • Leading a team of 13 Grounds Maintenance Operatives across 3 sites.
  • Fostering a professional environment within the team.

Requirements:

  • Ideally you will have a proven track record of leading a team of gardeners, ensuring all services are delivered to a high horticultural standard.
  • A RHS Level 3 certificate in Horticulture or equivalent is desirable for this role.
  • A passion for your work, and a desire to elevate performance of the team.
