A new opportunity has arisen for a Graphic Designer to join the team of a leading independent publisher of early years educational material; our award-winning client publishes engaging, fun and effective literacy materials for use around the world. The company have a friendly and collaborative culture and offer a competitive salary with flexibility for hybrid or remote working (based in the UK).

Working as part of a small, agile and supportive team, the Graphic Designer will play a pivotal role in the design and development of a variety of educational materials in print and digital formats. In this varied role you will have the chance to assist with the design of a range of products (books, flashcards, games, software) as well as marketing materials for print and web. You will support in producing books designed for use in the home and at school. Marketing materials might include the preparation and design of leaflets, catalogues, preparing images for the website and general marketing use.

The ideal Graphic Designer will have proven graphic design experience and a creative flair, along with a familiarity of design software and technologies (namely, Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator). The ability to create video content, including motion graphics and promotional videos, using After Effects and Premiere Pro would be desirable but by no means a must. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines are important, as is an interest in or experience of working in education / teaching, or children's book publishing.
