Get practice ready with Vets for Pets and Companion Care Plymouth Vets4Pets is looking for a new or recently graduated vet to join their team and our award-winning graduate scheme.
Our small animal practice is based in Plymouth City Centre on the Friary Retail Park, which has good transport links for our clients and pets. We benefit from a good variety of cases and a wonderful loyal client base. Our well-equipped surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and we have all of the usual equipment you would expect.
We are a small, close-knit team led by Partner and Vet Mark Winsey who graduated from Cambridge in 1981. Mark and his team are dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care to the people of the Plymouth area and have built a great reputation within their community. With genuine support and emphasis on your wellbeing, you can realise and maintain your full potential in an environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance too. You’ll be supported from day one by a dedicated mentor/Vet GDP Advisor, you’ll also be able to take paid leave to attend the varied CPD programme designed by vets specifically for new graduates. As you build your confidence in caring for pets and their owners, you’ll grow your own client base and see the continuity of cases with the support of your wider team. You won’t be in sole charge of cases until you’re ready.
The role is full-time with flexible hours and rotas. There is a weekend rota of 1 in 3 but no OOH will be required! As a standard on the Graduate Development Programme we offer a 2 year programme with no financial tie-ins, guaranteed starting salary of at least £35,500 per annum with reviews each year on programme, 10-12 clinical/non-clinical structure CPD days a year with covered travel costs, access to wellbeing support and free membership of wellbeing app, support with practice transfer should the need to arise.
