Graduate Teaching Assistant

At Tradewind, we are looking for a Teaching Assistant that has a passion for art! Whether you are a Art Graduate, an Art Therapist or Artist looking for a career changed or simply someone with a keen interest in Art, we would love to hear from you! Our client primary school, based in Barking and Dagenham, is looking for an enthusiastic team player who is keen to find creative ways to inspire children and engage them in their learning. You will have a desire for working with young people and to act as a positive role model for children. This role would be a full-time role and would be perfect for somebody that is looking to be an Art Teacher in future, wants to gain experience working with children or is looking for a career in the arts sector. Due to the long-term nature of the post, pay rates between �80 - �95 a day will be on offer.

This role would involve:

  • Supporting a Year 1 student with Autism
  • Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons
  • Building a strong rapport with the student
  • Collating resources for the lessons
  • Using your vibrant personality to encourage children to engage in their learning
  • Manage student behaviour
