Job Title: Graduate Planner | Planner | Senior Planner

Location: Preston

My client is looking for an excellent individual with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to advise a wide variety of landowning clients on the promotion of sites through Local and Neighbourhood Plans and in regard to the submission of planning applications.

Due to growth my client is looking to add a Graduate through to Senior to the team.

The successful candidate will cover the following areas and more:

  • Planning appraisals
  • Pre-application engagement
  • Appointing and managing consultant teams
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications for a wide variety of development from large scale residential and commercial schemes to smaller rural projects
  • Advising on and submitting appeals (all types)
  • Prior approval applications

Experience

We are looking for an experienced Town Planner or planning focused Surveyor from either the private or public sector. Job title on entry and complexity of project workload will reflect the experience of the successful candidate. RTPI accreditation is not a must for a candidate with the right experience but is welcomed. We would support you to secure this accreditation if you desire. We would expect any candidates from a surveying background to be RICS qualified and to have extensive planning experience. However RICS is also not a must.

The Team:

The planning team comprises a mixture of RTPI and RICS Planners working across Local Plan, Neighbourhood Plan and planning application projects. Our current Planners come from both private and public sector backgrounds and range from graduate to Director level. We work closely with our surveying, architecture and design colleagues to deliver projects for a diverse client base. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients to understand and realise their objectives as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Education:
