Graduate Development Technologist | East Kilbride

Our company was founded in 1920 and is now run by the 4th generation of the Galloway family.With sites strategically located throughout the UK, we have an exciting opportunity at our site in East Kilbride for a Graduate Development Technologist to join our team.Job Function:To work closely with our inhouse Development Chefs and NPD team to developing exciting new products, from initial concept through to launch whilst meeting customer specifications and our overall product strategy.Main Responsibilities:Assist the NPD team in managing customer projects and briefs through concept process.Develop knowledge of ingredient meat/non meat, food trends, equipment & processing.Liaising with internal and external stakeholder in sourcing of ingredients & packaging.Assist with food sample preparation.Assist with the successful transition of products from kitchen to factory.Assist with preparation ahead of customer reviews.· General administration work, including samples prep, taste testing, and associated documentation, specifications, recording accurate details and results.Skills Required:· Food Science Degree or equivalent experience.· Highly motivated, positive outlook, strong and effective project management.· Accreditation in Food Hygiene at minimum level 2 or willing to work towards.· Results driven, with the ability to learn quickly and meet customer expectations for quality and innovation.· Proven capability as a creative food innovator, with the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.· Highly self-motivated and commercially astute and with outstanding attention to detail and accuracy· You will be an effective communicator, who can build strong working relationships and present idea with ease.What we can offer in return:· 29 days holidays (increasing with service).· Subsidised canteen.· Retail discounts, including hundreds of popular UK retailers.· Tailored learning and development plan.· Employee Assistance Programme offering practical and well-being support.Keep up to date with the latest news, products and special offers.
