A bespoke Architectural practice, known for its innovative and personalized approach to projects, is currently seeking a dedicated Graduate Building Surveyor to join their team in Newcastle.

This practice specializes in a variety of sectors including education, residential, heritage, and hotel, offering a broad spectrum of experiences and learning opportunities for the successful Graduate Building Surveyor.

The Graduate Building Surveyor role

The Graduate Building Surveyor will be an essential part of the team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality surveying services across the practice's diverse project portfolio.

With a focus on education, residential, heritage, and hotel sectors, the role promises a comprehensive and enriching professional experience, ideal for a Graduate eager to embark on a long-term career in Building Surveying.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participating in a range of projects across education, residential, heritage, and hotel sectors, providing valuable insights and support to the team.
  • Conducting detailed building and condition surveys, preparing reports, and contributing to the delivery of professional services.
  • Gaining exposure to project management, contract administration, and other key surveying practices.
  • Collaborating with senior surveyors and other professionals within the practice to ensure the successful completion of projects.

The Graduate Building Surveyor

  • Holds a Degree in Building Surveying, showcasing a solid foundation of knowledge and skills relevant to the profession.
  • At least one year's experience within a professional consultancy, demonstrating a practical understanding of building surveying principles and practices.
  • Ambitious and dedicated, with a clear commitment to achieving professional qualifications and advancing within the field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively within a team and engaging with clients and stakeholders.
