Graduate Accountant - About The Role

Broad and varied role, you will gain experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, monthly reporting and get to work closely with clients, advising them on their finances.

Responsibilities will include:

• Month-end procedures


• Annual accounts production


• Monthly checks on financial data and analytical reviews


• VAT preparation


• Monthly payroll


• Liaising with HMRC and other third parties for general queries


• Responding to client queries and assisting with ad hoc requests


• Bookkeeping using Xero

The successful Graduate Accountant will have/be:

• A recent graduate with a minimum of a 2.1 or already part qualified ACCA/ACA


• Strong A Level and GCSE results


• Hungry to learn and develop


• Receptive to feedback


• Confidence to talk directly with clients


• Strong initiative and ability to work with autonomy


• Strong attention to detail and pride in the work you produce


• Process driven and a desire to challenge and improve existing processes


• Ambition to become a chartered accountant


• Experience with Excel
