GP Partner

The Barclay Medical Practice is seeking a new full Equity partner to join the largest equity partnership in Scotland , in our Edinburgh Division . We have 9 practices across the central belt serving over 100 000 patients. We are committed to the partnership model, while focussing on innovation, technology, skill mixing and investing in staff and premises. We want to build a national practice based on core NHS principles that is different and new.
You could be an established partner or recently completed training – we will wait for the right person. You will need to be flexible, a problem solver, creative , a team leader, organised, interested in change management but above all committed to building a career in General Practice. Our model. Is to maintain partnership township but offer a range of other positions like salaried and associate GP positions. We have an elected management group and are structured in a similar way to a large legal firm. We have equity partners leading on each of our site working semi-autonomously and provide local care to local people. We have skill mixing with 50% of the team being advance practitioners from a nursing , paramedic or pharmacist backgrounds. We maintain minimum staffing levels and offer a range of flexible contracts to attract and retain staff. We developed our own GP front door system that is run in house with wide range of Online forms integrated with texting solutions. We have dedicated back office teams with documents processing and dealing with prescriptions. We have sort to break down activity into work streams that are then managed by a dedicated centralised team. Organisation is everything. Growth is core because scale is the only solution to giving General Practice a sustainable future and a voice.
