We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Governance Officer to join our team at Nottinghamshire County Council. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective governance of the Nottinghamshire Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and compliance with relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement governance policies and procedures for the LGPS.Monitor compliance with regulations and legislation.Provide advice and guidance to the Pension Committee and Pension Board.Prepare reports and presentations for the Pension Committee and Pension Board.Qualifications:A degree or equivalent.Experience in a regulated environment, ideally in governance and compliance for a pension fund.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in interpreting regulatory or legal documentation.Benefits:Competitive salary and pension scheme.Generous annual leave entitlement.Flexible working arrangements.Opportunities for training and career development.Employee discounts and benefits.Nottinghamshire County Council is the local government authority for the county of Nottinghamshire, providing a range of public services to its residents.
