Name: fredReview: Very similar experience as other clients have had regarding this firms ability to carry out a quick/effective Probate, endless delays, excuses, erors, poor comunication,-they should stick to selling houses
Name: Hayley GouldReview: We chose Glover Priest as they have offices in both Birmingham (where we were selling a property) & Northamptonshire (where we live) and we required a solicitor for both probate and conveyancing. From the outset, we found Sophie Donovan and her team to be professional, informative, customer focused and communicative. They made potentially stressful transactions run smoothly and with ease and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and use them in the future.
Name: Adam TromansReview: The Quinton office just did my legals buying and selling and did a superb job.We were put under ridiculous pressure by the solicitors we were purchasing from but the staff here really pulled off some remarkable stuff.
Name: Paul and Mary DrakeReview: We have experienced an outstanding level of professional service from Linda Stubbs and Julie Kelly of Glover Priest, Wellingborough. From the first contacts about selling and buying our house through to completion they have ensured that we were fully informed and took care to make sure we knew where we were in the whole process. All queries either by telephone or email were quickly y responded to with both patience and good humour. We highly recommend this office and staff for a thoroughly reliable approach towards conveyancing matters.
Name: Olivia mossReview: They don't answer enquiries on website. They tell you how marvellous they are on recording. Have waited 2 years for my cousin's estate to be wound up. The paperwork sent had legacies missing and names wrong. People had died and this wasn't found out until the end. Totally slap dash. one star rating is too good.
Name: MattReview: The services of Glover Priest was used for my late Nan's estate. The firm was selected by my Aunty who was executor of the estate. The service Glover Priest provided me was very unprofessional - mistake after mistake. Referred to the deceased as my uncle instead of my nan in the official paperwork, listed my sister and I as children of the wrong person, entered wrong banking info so funds were not distributed properly resulting in lost funds and then tried to make out it was my mistake with a proposed additional bank charge.Losing a loved one is a traumatic experience. The very least you expect is for a professional law firm to do the job they are paid to do properly.Learn from my experience. I'm sure there are better will solicitors out there.
Name: Chris HillmanReview: We were allocated Glover Priest by our bank through our mortgage advisor as they were on lloyds' preferred list. From the start they were appalling, 1st of all sending our legal documents to the wrong address and didn't contact us when we hadn't replied in 2 weeks, after that breach of personal data was sorted they then went into complete radio silence mode for several weeks, in this time our 1st time buyer forms were rejected twice due to the solicitor at glover priest we were meant to have, had gone off maternity and we had been allocated a trainee solicitor who was more elusive than a unicorn. After weeks of badgering them and our mortgage advisor to get an update on our local authority searches, it came out our trainee solicitor had never applied for the searches when he was meant to, leading to another 3 weeks delay. One rare time when we actually got through to our solicitor he informed us that "I normally get paid to take phone calls from clients" which was a kick in the Teeth after all the ignored previous phone calls. On the day of us getting the keys to our house, our house developers rang us to say they couldn't release the keys to us as the solicitors hadn't submitted all the paperwork, so on what was meant to be a joyous day, we ended up spending 3 hours on the phone to ours solicitors secretary (as he was on leave) attempting to get all the paperwork submitted so we could move into our new house. The final insult was when glover priest the charged us an admin fee which should of been included in our mortgage, my partner rang up glover priest and spoke to Mr Priest himself who left my partner in tears after he was rude and aggressive towards her saying that our solicitor should of told us about this charge but it's our fault anyway. I would never wish anyone else to go through an ordeal like this and would advise anyone to avoid this solicitors as they turned what was meant to be a happy occasion into a stressful nightmare.P.s our house develops and Bank sent us congratulations cards and welcome packs for our new home, Glover Priest have sent none..... 'Amazing customer service'
