We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. This strategic role will oversee the development and execution of trade marketing initiatives, manage public relations efforts, and lead communication strategies, aimed at enhancing brand visibility, optimizing retail execution, and maximizing sales opportunities across all channels. The Senior Marketing Manager will be instrumental in fostering high-impact partnerships with key retail and online partners, ensuring alignment with our luxury brand’s objectives and driving substantial business growth. This role will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be a key member of the global marketing leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Development and Implementation:
Develop and implement comprehensive trade marketing strategies in collaboration with the sales team and other internal stakeholders to support ambitious sales objectives, enhance brand visibility, and drive retail sell-through.
Build joint business plans with direct wholesalers and distributors at a global level, focusing on detailed, actionable strategies that encompass both in-store and digital activations.
Innovate and refine marketing tactics to adapt to evolving market trends and consumer behaviors, ensuring our brand remains competitive and distinct in the luxury market.
Analyze performance of marketing activities, focusing on sell-out and sell-in results to continuously improve strategy and execution.
Leadership in Campaign Management:
Lead the planning and execution of sophisticated promotional campaigns, including CRM strategies, personalized emailing, and impactful digital communications.
Drive the creative direction of trade marketing materials to ensure they meet high aesthetic standards and communicate the brand’s luxury positioning effectively.
PR & Communications Management:
Develop and execute a cohesive PR strategy that enhances brand reputation and visibility through media engagements, influencer collaborations, and high-profile events.
Manage relationships with media outlets, ensuring the brand’s message is consistently presented and aligns with strategic marketing goals.
Craft compelling press releases and create innovative, differentiated presentations to communicate effectively with business partners and the media.
Partnership and Relationship Management:
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key retail partners, including high-end department stores, select retailers, and major online platforms.
Work closely with partners to align marketing initiatives with retail objectives, ensuring collaborative and mutually beneficial strategies that enhance both visibility and consumer engagement.
Budget and Performance Optimization:
Manage and optimize the trade marketing, PR, and communications budget to maximize return on investment while ensuring the execution of premium-quality marketing programs.
Utilize advanced analytics to track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing, PR, and communications programs, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet or exceed objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Extensive experience of 5 years+ in trade marketing roles within the beauty industry/luxury goods.
Must be bilingual, fluent in both French and English.
Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving innovation and excellence in trade marketing, PR, and communications execution.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and build meaningful relationships with business partners.
Proven expertise in developing and managing PR strategies and media relations.
Strong analytical skills, with a proven track record of leveraging data to inform strategic decisions.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of crafting and presenting clear, persuasive, and concise proposals, press releases, and performance reports.
Very well-organized, bringing a wealth of expertise in operational marketing and trade marketing.
Pro-active in monitoring competitive activities within the industry, always prepared to recommend innovative trade plans.
Additional Information:
This role will also involve managing a Global Marketing Executive, requiring strong leadership and mentoring skills.
