Our client has a long standing reputation for efficient customer care, supporting customers worldwide through its global network focused on the development of new products that improve efficiency, offer lower cost of ownership and reduce environmental impact.General overview:Responsible for managing and promoting the product throughout the product lifecycle from market analysis in cooperation with the regional sales managers, through product development planning to execution in support of organisational strategy and objectives. The product manager is the owner of the product for business and secures that product roadmap, product development planning and marketing in collaboration with the ATB/Wolong factories with aim to insure each product leads to commercial success.Main tasks and responsibilities:The Product Manager s role is key to the development of the Distribution product portfolio, and therefore the sustainable and profitable growth of the Global business for the company.
Research and analysis: Research and analyse market conditionsIdentify key competitor and consumer trendsArticulate market requirements and opportunitiesIdentify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancementsWork with research regarding product development Product Planning and Management Determine product specificationsDefine the long term strategy of the product and create product road mapPrepare product documents including Market Requirement Documents and product use cases to drive product activityDevelop pricing strategies and product policiesDetermine product packaging solutionsOversee product developmentManage and communicate with cross functional teams Product Marketing Develop product marketing plan and event campaigns to generate product awareness and demandPlan product launchLiaise with advertising and public relations to promote productSupport sales and marketing with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertiseConduct product presentationsDevelop sales tools and sales training material provide input for marketing col-lateral development Supply sales with latest research and marketing informationImplement marketing plan in conjunction with all departmentsDrive ongoing improvement in sales and profitability To be successful in the role of Global Product Manager we require the following skills and experience: Have experience of working within a product manager roleHave experience of working with product specifications, product strategy and product marketingHave worked within a distribution service background or a technical engineering backgroundHappy to travel internationally for 10% of the yearHave a full UK driving licence
