Join us and be part of our mission to deliver the highest quality care to millions of animals.About the roleAs the Global Payroll Service Delivery lead in our Global Business Services organisation, your primary responsibility is to lead and oversee all aspects of payroll management within our Global Shared Services environment.You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies and procedures to help optimise and develop our global payroll capabilities and delivery. You will be working closely with our global HR organisation, Finance, IT and our international market based colleagues. You will be required to oversee and build the payroll teams capability, scope, compliance and delivery of all payroll related matters. You will be a trusted advisor on all payroll related matters to finance and HR teams in the markets that we operate.Your role is critical in ensuring our transition to consistent and efficient global payroll management, compliance with company policies and international regulations and you will help shape the evolution of our global payroll function at this critical time for IVC Evidensia.IVC Evidensia are going through an exciting period of significant change, and you will need to embrace and drive that change. You will help in leading and supporting the design, delivery and transformation of our organization’s global payroll processes and systems.Your primary focus will be creating, developing and executing a global payroll strategy, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and driving process improvements. You will lead a team of payroll professionals, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide strategic direction to optimize global payroll operations The ability to support the integration of new acquisitions onto our global platforms is also important.This role requires a combination of strong project management skills, leadership skills, extensive knowledge of global payroll practices, procedures and technology, the ability to navigate complex payroll processes and procedures, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a rapidly evolving organisation.Responsibilities: Create, develop and execute a global payroll strategy, aligning with business objectives and compliance requirements.Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for multiple countries and regions.Establish and maintain strong relationships with payroll providers and vendors to ensure seamless payroll delivery.Ensure compliance with global payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security requirements in each jurisdiction.Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of global payroll operations.Develop and implement global payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistent practices and compliance.Stay updated with payroll legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologies in global payroll management.Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, legal, and IT, to streamline payroll processes and data integration.Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess payroll performance and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders for audits and compliance checks.Lead global payroll projects, such as system implementations, upgrades, and payroll harmonization initiatives.Coordinate year-end payroll processes, including tax reporting, annual statements, and compliance filingsProvide strategic guidance and recommendations on payroll-related matters.Stay informed about industry best practices and participate in professional networks or associations to foster knowledge exchange.What we are looking for in you:Strong payroll background with a minimum of 7yrs experience in leading Global Payroll Operations/ Payroll transformation and good experience of transition management.High level of payroll technical expertise and service delivery, including legislation, financial and regulatory controls, governance, risk management, HR policy and internal audit requirements.Proven track record of effective leadership and a strong behavioural profile in a complex payroll function, including working with payroll suppliers and leading change.Experience of managing/supporting complex Global Payroll projects/ transformation programs working alongside both Payroll and IT professionalsKnowledge of global payroll practices, regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements across multiple countries and regions.Extensive experience in managing relationships with global payroll service providers and vendors.Proficiency in using payroll software or systems for end-to-end payroll processing and excellent understanding of HRIS systems and their integration with payroll systems.Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive process improvements and optimize payroll operations.Strong analytical skills to assess payroll data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling employee information.Proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in global payroll regulations and best practices.Certification or professional qualification in payroll such as the CIPP Diploma in Payroll Management or related field desirable.What you get in return: At IVC Evidensia we recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business.
