Global Finance Director (Consumer Care)
Croda is a FTSE100 organisation consisting of 6,000 staff and annual revenues of approximately £2 billion GBP. We are focused on our purpose of Smart Science to Improve Lives through the research and development of highly sustainable ingredients for the Consumer Care and Life Sciences markets.
We are now looking for a strategic Finance Director who can support the strategy definition and development of our Consumer Care business as we embark on a period of both organic and inorganic growth.
This is a strategic, business partnership role which will influence and support leadership teams across our global and regional businesses to drive big data activities, lead scenario planning and drive robust investment planning within the Crodas largest business area.
Who we're looking for:
Degree qualified with previous experience working in a Global Finance role within a large manufacturing organisation.
Solid understanding of business financials from a strategic and FP&A perspective to identify opportunities to improve business outcomes and influence strategy.
Excellent business and commercial acumen with the ability to influence and steer decision making across the regions to identify and drive opportunities for growth.
A passion for driving a culture of big data and continuous improvement within a global organisation
Excellent communication skills with the ability to proactively challenge decisions at all levels of the organisation and support the implementation of new ways of working within Finance and the wider business.
A progressive and empathetic leader with a clear understanding of how effective business partnering leads to long term organic growth within a fast paced and agile organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible (alongside the Business President) for the businesses strategic plan, including the medium-term financial plan, P&L performance and strategic capital investment decisions
Act as a strategic business partner to the Business President and a key member of the Business Board and leadership team, to bring cognitive diversity and effectively challenge at all levels of the organisation
Ensure the delivery of overall financial performance through effective governance of controls with the regional finance teams, working in partnership to ensure policies and practices are robust and facilitate business growth
Provides strategic support of the commercial delivery of the business, including global pricing policies, product costing/margins and risk management.
Conversion of the long-term business strategy into a 35-year financial plan through leadership of the annual budgeting process for the business, setting key financial and commercial targets.
Leads corporate M&A activity (alongside the Corporate Development function) in the selection and analysis of acquisition opportunities
Works with business and regional leaders to identify areas of inadequate financial performance and to identify growth opportunities.
