The Role

As a Global Database and Asset Procurement Officer, you will lead the procurement of CAPEX items, ensuring that all assets are accurately accounted for in our Asset Management System. This will include providing ongoing project status updates on assets purchase, planning, support and attendance of all Factory Acceptance Testing and commissioning.

Supporting Asset leads in our Maintenance team, Equipment Hire Business, Global Dispersant Stockpile and Inventory management, you will obtain all quotes for assets, spares, consumable etc. for safe, efficient running of the respective departments. You will raise and process all purchase orders directly to suppliers and OEMs and ensure accurate, on-time delivery and payment for goods and services require.

You will ensure the efficient management of assets, maintenance, warehouse and procurement activities within the Global Support Services function. You will work in collaboration with the Global Database and Asset Maintenance Administrator and the Global Warehouse and Inventory Lead.

Working from Build sheets and Bills of Materials, you will identify all inventory items needed for surface assets to be commissioned on time.

Additionally, you will:

- Contribute to savings targets and working capital initiatives in the asset management team
- Act as the dedicated PoC for all supplier correspondence within Asset lead departments
- Be responsible for any and all supplier / OEM purchased faults and issues, put in place corrective actions and mitigating points to resolve issues
- Act as the dedicated PoC for all internal and external process audits with purchased asset process
- Oversee and agree appropriate incoterms for global deliveries
- Work with Asset leads, Finance and Global Asset database and Maintenance Administrator contribute to our membership Scale of Fees documentation updated twice yearly and sent to our Membership
- Ensure all new Asset and inventory items purchased includes DNV and US/EU emissions / lifting and hydraulic hose certification where needed, CoOs, accurate weights and measures, commodity classification for transportation, user manuals and technical drawings
- Support or raise SLA CAPEX purchase requests into OSRL ERP system
- Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of assets
- Support on time payments
- Be expected to cover for Global Asset database and Maintenance Administrator for planned and unplanned absence

About You

To be considered as a Global Database and Asset Procurement Officer, you will need:

- To be a strong negotiator with a proven track record of achieving savings targets and working capital improvements
- To be a visible presence in and around the warehouse and maintenance bays
- Experience of working in supply chain and procurement activities
- Experience of working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Working knowledge of asset management
- Working knowledge of incoterms
- An understanding of the importance of readiness in effective spill response
- A qualification from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) at Level 4 or above
