Job Title – Global Data Protection Officer
Location – Southampton, UK (Hybrid, 2 days per week)

NICE value our customers’ trust and respect their data rights. We are looking for a Global Data Protection Officer to join our team and help us maintain and improve our data protection standards and practices.
Main duties include:
Developing and implementing a global data privacy and protection strategy and framework that aligns with the company’s vision and values
Serving as a central focal point for all business units globally on the company's privacy and data protection program
Developing and reviewing data privacy and protection policies and procedures, such as data retention, data deletion, data security, data breach response and data subject rights across the organization
Advising and supporting business units and functions on privacy and data protection matters, such as data processing agreements, data subject rights requests, data breach notifications, and data protection impact assessments
Monitoring and ensuring continued compliance with privacy and data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and others
Educating and training staff members on data privacy and protection principles, policies and procedures
Conducting regular data protection audits, assessments, and reviews to identify and mitigate risks and gaps
Serving as the main point of contact and liaison with privacy and data protection authorities, regulators, customers, and other stakeholders on data privacy and protection issues
Keeping abreast of the latest developments and trends in data protection and privacy
Implementing and maintaining ISO/IEC 27701, the international standard for privacy information management
Handling incidents involving personal data. Identifying, containing, investigating, and resolving any potential or actual breaches, as well as reporting and notifying relevant authorities and other third parties when necessary
Experience and skills needed –
A bachelor’s degree or higher, computer science, information security, law or a related field
At least 5 years of relevant experience in data protection, privacy, or information security
A solid understanding of privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and others
A strong knowledge of data protection best practices, tools, and technologies
Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO/IEC 27701, the international standard for privacy information management
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
A high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
A proactive, collaborative, and problem-solving attitude
Certification Requirements
A certification or qualification in data protection, such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO, or equivalent
