Role Overview:
The Communications Manager is the pillar of the account team – this role is instrumental in providing exceptional client counsel and is responsible for ensuring best in class plans and executions for their accounts. The Communications Manager is a true support to the senior members of the team as well as being an inspiring leader to more junior members. Given the strong strategic experience required as part of this role, the selected candidate would also receive mentorship from SEEN Group’s Global Head of Strategy.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Client Service:
Day-to-day account management lead, with strong client relations and maintained excellence in client counsel at all times.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of clients business in order to deliver strategic and creative campaigns against brief.
Proactively pitch new ideas to the client – ensure concepts are aligned with overall business/PR objectives and strategy.
Liaise with local market teams to build a deep understanding of the beauty landscape and opportunities, and forge valuable partnerships with local agency partners.
Excellent management of local market relationships, forging valuable partnerships through best practice global market management and processes.
Excellent creation of strategic, creative and well presented global toolkits and brand plans – collaborating with SEEN Works’ experts to aid thinking and associated creations/executions.
Excellent global media and social expertise, with strong international media relationships and understanding of the global influencer and social spheres.
Create compelling global media stories, and work with local market teams to create strong local media stories that gain significant PR placement in line with KPIs.
Utilise finger on the pulse skill set and extensive global communications/landscape knowledge, to support clients with beyond the day-to-day thinking and strategic excellence.
Management:
Inspiring and motivating team member within the Global Beauty SEEN team and in collaboration with SEEN Works. Inclusive of line management of Global Communications Executive.
Owner of client time lines, managing up and down to ensure all work is delievered to a high standard and on time to showcase SEEN excellence.
Actively read and follow key global and local media outlets (print, digital, broadcast) and social media to constantly add value to the work outputs of the Global communications team.
Actively manage Communications Executive’s work flow, to ensure excellent time management, skill set development and clear opportunities for learning.
Under Global Communications Director leadership, take ownership in the management of key global projects and executions and share regular updates and thinking as part of weekly team meetings.
Actively contribute to the management of client KPIs, driving results directly and via global market networks, with constant monitoring and review as part of agreed client reporting needs (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc).
Specialist Skill Set:
A strategic and creative thinker across written and verbal work, ensuring exceptional execution and delivery.
Experienced strategist, with global and local communications planning experience.
Excellent global media landscape awareness (in and outside of the industry) to inform global storytelling and pitching, and trends and insights to support strategy work.
Excellent global influencer landscape awareness, with good understanding of global social trends and behaviours.
Experience in working with global trend and insight tools, to inform strategic thinking and creative ideas.
Excellent industry (beauty and wellbeing) awareness to support in role specialism and expertise across yourportfolio and cross agency.
People person who takes a proactive approach to building new industry relationships that benefit work outputs and specialism in role.
Business Skill Set:
Accountability for maintaining a positive client relationship and feedback in the quality of work outputs and strategic expertise.
Accountability for managing workflows to ensure efficient resource planning and effective budget management.
Demonstrate collaboration with broader business peers, through specialist strategtic skill set to support of group client work and new business opportunities.
