Platform Engineer - Associate
We Goldman Sachs have the opportunity to change you carrier and grow together.
As part of the the Systematic Volatility Trading Engineering team you will work to transform the Equity Derivatives businesses at Goldman Sachs by automating the key decisions taken by traders every day.
Our platform integrates with the major exchanges in EMEA. Our team, one of the main players in the European market making business.
Role Responsibilities
Work closely with sales and trading, support our automated pricing and trading systems.
Design, implement, test and support algorithms for the Systematic Volatility Trading desk.
Integrate with external platforms, markets and clients using standard protocols such as GRPC, GraphQL and FIX,
End2End ownership of deliverables from design to production deployment.
Safeguard the platform SLA's by measuring and monitoring the system health.
Troubleshooting large throughput distributed systems.
Capture data and analytics, used to improve business decision making and client experience.
Basic Qualifications
Excellent academic record in a relevant technical subject such as computer science, physics, mathematics or engineering.
Strong programming skills in an object oriented or functional paradigm such as C++, Java or Python.
Experience on Google cloud, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
Proficiency with SQL and Non-SQL databases
Proven experience on continuous delivery methods.
At least 5 years’ experience.
Self-starter with strong self-management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Passion for software engineering, coding and solving real world problems.
Experience developing large distributed systems, using microservices, domain driven development and API first approach.
Knowledge and understanding of the current state of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics.
