The role: Reservoir Studies & Simulation (RSS) team is responsible for delivery of quality subsurface studies in support of the asset work programmes. These studies include, but are not limited to, seismic interpretation, static and dynamic reservoir modelling, infill drilling opportunity identification, medium to longer term reservoir management and optimisation, EOR, etc. The role holder will act as the geophysicist in the RSS team. In this role, the individual will ensure that the geophysics scope of the subsurface studies is consistently fit for purpose and set to deliver high quality products that will meet the technical assurance requirements of internal and external stakeholders. The role reports to Geoscience Lead in RSS team.
You will:
• Ensure timely execution of Geophysics work scope and delivery of high-quality products that consistently pass scrutiny of internal and external technical assurance efforts, examples of key tasks but not limited to:
o OBN seismic interpretation
o Synthetic seismic well ties
o Seismic stratigraphy
o Fault interpretation
• Collaborate with RSS team Geologists and Reservoir engineers to integrate geophysical work into the wider subsurface programs.
• Capture the range of subsurface uncertainty and document work to a high standard.
• Work within the project workplan aligning delivery with expected timeframes. Being adaptive to responding to changing Geophysics priorities, where necessary.
• Clearly and concisely articulate geophysical observations and interpretation to a range of stakeholders.

o Seismic interpretation particularly in deep water and shallow water clastic environments
o Seismic-well ties
o Depth conversion and uncertainty analysis
o Seismic stratigraphic techniques

• An excellent understanding of the integration of geophysics with other disciplines including geology, petrophysics, and reservoir engineering.
• A collaborative working style and active ability to build networks, both internally in the company and with relevant external organisations.
• The ability to characterise and succinctly articulate the subsurface issues and recommendations to other relevant disciplines and management.
• An understanding of both the value and limitations of geophysics analysis, with the insight to identify the important and urgent tasks from the nice-to-haves.
