Position Overview: The school are looking for an enthusiastic Geography Teacher who can engage students in the study of geographical concepts, environmental issues, and cultural diversity. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching geography at various levels, fostering critical thinking skills, and encouraging students to become informed global citizens. The role involves creating interactive and innovative lessons that spark curiosity, promote spatial understanding, and instill a sense of environmental stewardship.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Design and deliver comprehensive geography lessons that cover both physical and human geography topics.

  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, hands-on learning, and respectful discussion.

  • Integrate real-world examples, case studies, and current events to make geography relevant and engaging for students.

  • Foster an appreciation for different cultures, traditions, and environments, promoting a global perspective among students.

  • Utilize technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences and geographic literacy.

  • Assess student understanding through various methods, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and experiential learning opportunities.

  • Participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities related to geography and environmental studies.



Qualifications:




  • QTS (qualified teaching status)

  • Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary level.

  • Strong knowledge of geographical concepts, environmental issues, and global perspectives.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Passion for geography education and fostering environmental awareness.
