Partnering Health Limited has an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join the team based in Lymington UTC. You will join us on a full time, part time, permanent OR Bank basis and you will receive a highly competitive salary.
Lymington UTC are a GP led team of nurse practitioners, specialist paramedics, experienced health care support workers, and a dedicated reception team. During our opening hours from 8am to 9pm, 7 days a week we assess and treat or refer acute presentations with minor injuries and minor illnesses for all ages of patients. Our aim is to ensure that we provide a high standard of clinical care to all our patients and to ease the pressures and demands on the local emergency departments.
An ideal opportunity for a General Practitioner (GP) to be responsible for the provision of safe and effective primary care led service for patients presenting with urgent care presentations, acute injury, illness, and exacerbations of long term conditions in line with NHS England Urgent Treatment Centre service specification. he GP will work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure appropriate care is delivered in the right place, at the right time
Assess, investigate, diagnose and treat patients presenting with clinical needs which can be met by primary care
Refer to secondary care where appropriate
Provide emergency care while waiting for emergency transfer of patient when appropriate
Manage the flow of patients by balancing the clinical need of the patient with the capacity of the provider to deliver the necessary response
You ideally will have worked in an urgent care environment previously
GPs within Primary Care, secondary Care e.g. radiology and pathology
Communicate with the Governance Lead and support the delivery of a high-quality service and raise any governance issues that may arise
Work with the Service Manager to ensure training, significant events, complaints, audits, surveys and other professional service development activities are achieved to ensure the smooth running of the service
Be responsible for the teaching and development of doctors, nurses and professionals from other disciplines such as Emergency Care Practitioners, GP registrars in Primary Care Skills. This may involve practitioners sitting in and seeing patients where appropriate.
Actively participate in both departmental and organisational matters concerning clinical
Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list (with no conditions preventing working or restrictions on practice)
Experience if working in urgent care environment such as A&E, Walk In Centres
MRCGP examination or equivalent experience
Sound knowledge of clinical governance
Will have an understanding of the political agenda and drivers influencing primary care provision
