We have an exciting opportunity for aGeneral Practitionerto join ourPrimary Careteam atHMP Whatton, a category CPrison located inNottinghamshire.
Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community. We deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn’t usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
The site currently offers aflexible working pattern.
This position isfull time,you’ll receive an annual salary up to £130,000per annum - depending on experience.

We recognise training and development is key, therefore we provide a training portal to facilitate your needs as well as have an in-depth induction for all staff whether you have experience of working in prisons or not. You will gain insight into Mental Health and Substance Misuse, as well as access to a variety of training opportunities with the opportunity to work towards your RCGP level 2 and other qualifications should you wish.
As aGeneral Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
You will provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management
You will also provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

GMC registered
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work within a busy environment
Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
