General Operative

Location: Kidderminster
Hours: Mon - Thu 8am - 4pm Fri Early Finish Friday
Pay: From �11.44 p/hr
Contract: Temp - Perm
Pertemps Kidderminster are recruiting for a General Operative to join our clients growing team. The successful candidate will be working on a Temporary to Permanent basis. You will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the manufacturing of components that meet quality standards.
The Duties of a General Operative:

• Operate and maintain equipment and machinery.
• Assist in the preparation of moulds, ensuring they meet quality specifications.
• Smooth rough surfaces, edges, and welds using grinders, sanders, and other finishing tools.
• Perform fettling and finishing operations on cast metal components
• Perform quality checks on finished products.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

The Requirements of a General Operative:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Previous experience in metal finishing, fettling, or a related field is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Health and Safety.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
