Here at Fresh we are excited to be recruiting for a General Manager at The Tannery, Leicester. This stunning building offers student homes in a prime location and on-site student facilities such as TV and games area, a large, landscaped courtyard, and a multimedia room that can be used as a cinema room, plus a virtual gym coming soon! Situated in Leicester's city centre, with the universities just a short journey away and all the shops, restaurants you love just around the corner.
This full-time role offers working hours of 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, where you’ll be working in an exciting, people-first environment dealing with people management, marketing, liaising with clients, budget control and rent collection with the opportunity to advance your own career in a fast-growing industry.

Our General Managers are responsible for delivering a 5* service to our customers and for the ongoingstrategic plansfor the development. Key responsibilities of the role include:
Working alongside our exceptional Marketing Team to develop and implement a plan, including completing competitor analysis and keeping up to date with market changes.
The opportunity to grow the people within your team, by acting as mentor offering guidance and training and conducting regular 1-2-1s.
Drafting budgets utilising forecasting and expenditure reports (within approved budgets).
Organising and attending open days with current and prospective students.
Liaising with the account’s teams processing invoices and compiling P&L reports.
Managing the process for all statutory testing within the property ensuring full compliance with all relevant legalisations and ensure all H&S issues are investigated correctly, taking appropriate action where necessary.
The role offers the opportunity to balance the operational aspects of the role with creating a social and fun atmosphere to create an environment where students want to live and work.

About you:
We are looking for someone who is an adept communicator, who thrives in client interactions, excels in people management, and is passionate about mentoring and developing a team whilst ensuring seamless budget management. While experience in Property Management, including collection of rent and arrears, is advantageous, we value your ability to lead and motivate others, whilst creating a warm and welcoming environment for our students. Adaptability in communication styles, coupled with a calm and professional demeanour in high-pressure situations, is key.
