Job DescriptionGreen Barks Search are delighted to be working with a renowned hospitality and events company, based in the heart of North Yorkshire, in their search for a General Manager. As the General Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee all aspects of business operations, implementing processes and systems to ensure efficiency and proficiency across the board. You'll be responsible for managing both permanent and temporary staff, ensuring they operate proficiently and adhere to company standards. This includes managing time worked, staffing levels, and uniform standards to maintain a high level of professionalism.Collaborating closely with the founder, you will explore new business opportunities, driving revenue and business growth. Your commercial acumen will allow you to take a holistic view of the business, drawing on your project management experience to guide the business into its next growth cycle. Careful budgetary management is required as well as the ability to oversee and implement all necessary Health and Safety policies, leading by example. Working closely with the warehouse management team, you will have overall responsibility for stock and vehicle availability and management. This includes coordinating vehicle availability and legal compliance, as well as overseeing maintenance activities to ensure equipment is well-maintained and cared for, upholding the highest of quality standards.As the General Manager, you'll lead the teams in implementing best practices and ensuring customer satisfaction. You'll serve as the main point of contact with customers, managing off-site operations and on-call staff arrangements.We're looking for a natural people leader who is well-organised, a good communicator, and has strong customer relationship skills.
