General Manager of Contracting

We’re looking to recruit 2 General Managers within our growing Contracting department.
Reporting to the Head of Contracting, the General Manager of Contracting will assume o
verall contracting responsibility and ownership for a geographical area.
What will you do in the role?
Operating in a challenging and fast paced environment, the General Manager of Contracting role is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day and short-term contracting function is fulfilled to business requirements and adhering to due diligence.
Be key in developing the medium to long-term contracting strategy for the relevant destinations
heavily focused on people management and will provide support to the area manager role.
Coaching and mentoring of staff to ensure colleague progression through the department and succession planning
What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have?
A subject matter expert with excellent knowledge of contracting within a Tour Operator environment
An experienced team leader with a desire to help colleagues progress
Pro-active and confident individual with a focus on both successful delivery and relationship building
Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
A strong track record of forging effective business relationships, both internally and externally
These roles will require business travel across Europe on a frequent basis.
