Job DescriptionWe’re recruiting a General Manager for a fun and vibrant bar in the heart of London, with great views, a lively atmosphere, and outstanding service. We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced GM to lead our team and elevate the overall guest experience.Job Summary:As the General Manager, you will spearhead all aspects of daily operations, ensuring unparalleled service standards, and contributing to the continuous success and growth of our establishment. This pivotal leadership role demands a strategic thinker with robust managerial skills, a passion for hospitality and a deep understanding of London's bar scene. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and CMO.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management:Efficiently oversee day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and venue maintenance.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing requirements.Team Leadership:Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team across bartenders, servers, hosts, and support staff.Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and professional development.Guest Experience:Uphold and enhance the bar's reputation for delivering an exceptional guest experience.Implement strategies to consistently surpass customer expectations and increase bookings and footfall.Financial Management:Maintaining cost control without compromising quality.Monitor sales and profitability, identifying opportunities for revenue growth.Marketing and Promotion:Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to plan and execute promotions, events, menus and initiatives based on monthly highlights.Quality Control:Ensure the quality of food and beverages meets established standards.Address customer feedback promptly, implementing improvements as needed.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience as a General Manager in the hospitality industry in a high-volume environmentStrong leadership and organisational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations.Familiarity with London's nightlife and hospitality landscape.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Expectations:Oversee daily operations and confidently run busy shifts, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.Handle P&L management, stock control, meeting targets, and submitting reports.Be a creative manager, coming up with innovative ideas to make our bar the best place to visit and work.Manage and develop a team of professionals, inspiring and incentivising them to deliver 5-star Google rating service.Ensure compliance with licences, risk assessments, and health & safety standards.Organise team rotas and efficiently manage labour.Skills and Experience:At least 4 years of experience managing a busy high-volume bar.Excellent leadership, training, and team-building skills.Methodical, thorough, and effective problem-solving abilities.Approachable, self-motivated, and driven with excellent communication skills.Hands-onBenefits + Package:Gym membership, discounts + other rewards.Career development + opportunity to grow and expand in this role as the business grows with potentially multiple new sitesIncentive Trips50% discount for food and drink in all of our venues.
