As the organisation sets to increase its services & membership body, the need for a new, well-versed General Manager has arisen.
Responsibilities;
member acquisition through unique development & engagement activities.
management of the procurement & finance team.
and continuing development of the range of products and services available
access to ordering system.
the fullest range of products and services that would help in the running and efficiency of members businesses
benchmarking of products and services to ensure members receiving best service; prices and efficiencies
to help whenever things go wrong or don’t fully meet the member’s requirements
for membership to remain affordable in a constantly changing business environment.
Requirements
Relevant experience in business and, preferably, the agricultural sector to identify and manage future opportunities and threats
understand and analyse likely future trends in the agricultural market, to retain relevant market status.
look for opportunities to develop relationships with other buying groups, or suppliers, for the benefit of the company and its members
have the necessary skills to run a bespoke IT system as well as any future systems that bring efficiencies in the office and service to members
manage an open and responsive relationship with the Board
have relevant experience and negotiating skills to increase the range of products and services available to members at best prices.
increase the membership to fully utilise the competitiveness and keep a lid on costs
management experience.
development skills and digital marketing experience
Strong communicator
UK driving licence
