Exciting Opportunity: General Duties Assistant

Rate: �11.15 per hour (�21,458.85 per annum)

Hours: 37 per week

Duration: 12 Months minimum, could lead to permanent

Are you ready to dive into an exciting role in the industrial sector? We're looking for enthusiastic individual with a desire in the engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, C&I or process) to join our team, where you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.

What You'll Do:

  • Hands-On Plant Operations: Get involved with various plant routines, including industrial cleaning and important safety checks.
  • Manage Deliveries: Oversee and organise all deliveries, in respect to fuel, chemical deliveries and security of the sites.
  • Site Layout Master: Become an expert on our site layout and systems, assisting the Shift Operations team with operational and maintenance tasks.
  • Security Supervision: Monitor our security systems and act quickly in emergencies, liaising with our central security team and emergency services when needed.
  • Safety First: Prioritize and promote safety and cleanliness across the site, ensuring a top-notch working environment for everyone.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Tackle first-line maintenance tasks, keeping our operations running smoothly.
  • Communication Hub: Keep everyone informed with updates via shift logs, databases, and verbal communications.
  • Team Player: Work closely with your team to share tasks equally and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Working with Heights: Perform tasks that involve working at heights safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel across 4/5 sites within the southern region.
  • Predominately based in Cranbrook.
  • Maintain site cleanliness using specialised equipment.
  • Oversee consumable collections and deliveries.
  • Ensure tasks are shared and completed efficiently within the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to and promote health and safety guidelines.

Key requirements:

  • Desire to work with related engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, C&I or process)
  • Full UK clean driving licence
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Safety knowledge, additional tickets and licences highly advantageous.
