General Catering Assistant

About The Role
To work as a team, responsible for the efficient and timely preparation of a quality service. Toassist in smooth running of the of the retail shops on the campus, in a high quality of hygiene standards always.
You will be working Monday to Thursday, on a permanent part-time basis, 07:00 to 15:00, 30 hours per week.
You will also:
Order and replenish stock
Ensure that hygiene regulations and Company policies are followed.
Delivering services in a busy ‘grab and go’ retail catering outlet
Maintain Contract health and safety, and hygiene standards following current legislation.
Participate in any communication activities through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas.
Take responsibility for reviewing the safe system of work prior to the commencement of the work activity.
You will be required to work closely with the Group Health and Safety team who are available to provide safety advice and support. Furthermore, you will be required to ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of control.
Clean all areas of the servery, beverage machine and preparation areas using the nominated cleaning schedules.
To perform any other duties which may be reasonably required by your Line Manager or the company.

Excellent customer service skills
Ability to follow policy and procedures
Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels
