General Assistant (Machine Shop / Factory / Manufacturing)

Week 1 - Monday to Friday 07:15 to 16:00 OR 07:45 to 16:30 (Finish 15 Minutes Earlier on a Friday) 
Week 2 – Monday to Thursday
General Assistant required to a Machine Shop team within an industry leading supplier of manufacturing machinery with a reputation of global excellence. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company during an exciting period of growth. 
This role would suit candidates with experience working within a machine shop environment. Candidates from any factory / manufacturing background will also be suitable. 
Reporting into the Machine Shop Manager, the successful candidate will support the running of the machine shop area by keeping the working environment clean and cutting relevant materials. 
The General Assistant Role: 
· Keeping machine shop clean: sweeping, emptying waste and swarf bins, wiping down and cleaning the exteriors of machines etc.
· Change and replenishment of machine coolant
· Cutting and deburring materials
· Forklift driving – training can be provided
· Support continuous improvement activities 
The General Assistant Candidate:
· Experience in a factory / manufacturing / machining environment
