General Adult Specialty Doctor Psychiatrist

As a Specialty Doctor General Adult Psychiatrist working for an NHS Trust in the North East of England, your proposed hours will be Daytime Monday - Friday in a CAMHS inpatient ward. This role is a full-time position and will commence as soon as possible for 3 months with possible extension. To be considered for this role, applicants will need full GMC registration, an enhanced DBS, Section 12, experience working within a mental health setting and MHAA experience including report writing and giving evidence at Tribunal desirable.

Responsibilities of the role

When working in this post, you will be overseeing 26 beds, predominantly caring for Male patients in an acute and PICU ward. The service, split across two wards, provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. The workload is shared with another Specialty Doctor.
