Gas Compliance Manager
Are you an enthusiastic and self-motivated compliance manager with proven experience and ability within the construction sector?
If the answer is ‘yes’, then we have the opportunity for a Gas Compliance Manager to join our Construction Team!

Whether it’s the latest in heating technologies, insulation, ventilation or innovative ways of providing and controlling heating, we can recommend and install the right products as well as help with getting grants and funding for these installations.
IZ Energy was established in 2013 and we are one of the leading energy efficiency services contractors based in London, working in the residential and commercial sector and specialise in the EWI Insulation, Solar installations, Boiler, FTCH, ESH, Windows & Doors etc., we focus on making homes energy efficient.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Gas Compliance Manager with excellent knowledge compliance related legislation, regulatory requirements sector challenges, gas safety legislation and best practice applicable to construction.
Main Responsibilities:
Create & embed gas safety processes & procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with gas industry regulations.
Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions.
Assign responsibilities, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies to stay informed about updates and changes in standards.
Liaise where necessary with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address and rectify any compliance issues promptly.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Implement safety protocols to maintain a secure and enhance operational safety.
Lead efforts to create and sustain a safety-conscious culture within the company.
Skills and Qualifications:
Skills:
Communication Skills - for coordinating information among your clients, building experts and staff on-site.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage staff, encourage your team and ensure a high standard in delivery.
Planning and organisational skills to enable you to address unforeseen challenges and potential conflicts during the construction process.
Decision-making skill including the ability to make quick decisions in urgent circumstances to ensure the project progresses.
Detail-oriented skills for performing site inspections and ensuring materials and output are correct according to the stipulated standards.
Health and Safety consciousness, executing projects in a safe construction environment.
Budget management, appropriating and managing your budget effectively to meet the requirements of the project.
Analytical and IT skills, understanding relevant building techniques and project management software to organise date and finances.
Qualifications:
(Essential)
GAS SAFE registered
CSCS
Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) Gas Qualification.
(Desirable)
To be qualified and hold an MOD / DIO Gas Safety Manager License or achieve within an agreed timeframe, not expected to exceed 9 months.
Level 4 VRQ Gas Safety Management in Social Housing or relevant equivalent experience. CCNI, CENWAT, CKRI, HTRI, CPAI Certificates.
Benefits:
Salary: £40 - £45k per annum + excellent benefits
Location: Barking, London.
