Job Title: Gangs and Exploitation Outreach Worker

Location: Hammersmith & Fulham, London

Salary: Up to �23 per hour

Role Summary: Join our team as a Gangs and Exploitation Outreach Worker and play a pivotal role in our mission to support young people affected by gangs, violence, and exploitation. Working within the Gangs Unit of the Community Safety Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality outreach services aimed at empowering young people to lead successful lives away from negative influences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of young individuals, providing tailored support and interventions to prevent or exit gang involvement.
  • Identify at-risk youth and develop intervention plans to facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to prevent gang affiliation and support reintegration into society.
  • Facilitate access to support services, education, employment, and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, police, and other partners to ensure effective intervention strategies.
  • Provide guidance to professionals and stakeholders on available resources and services for youth violence prevention.
  • Maintain a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, adhering to relevant protocols and training requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree level education or relevant work experience in gangs, violence, and exploitation.
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, policies, and practices.
  • Familiarity with approaches to combat gangs, violence, and exploitation, including county lines.
  • Proven experience in partnership working with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
