FX UI Developer

As a Barclays FX UI Developer, you will be a part of FX Technology team who is working on multi-year effort to re-build FX platform from the ground up to deliver solution that can be deliver faster, quicker, easily and with less risk. Your main duties will be to assist with design, prototype, build, and deliver a state of the art trading and pricing platform in FX space. You will be developing Web UI components for the Markets&Research department as defined by business requirements and prioritization – mainly focusing on new FX built out.Barclays is one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions, established in 1690, with a legacy of success, quality, and innovation. What will you be doing?
Participating in design discussions and prototype proof of concept solutions and then developing with his team a robust, performant and maintainable system
Developing solutions to problems both tactical and strategic as the business requires it
Working closely with the business users to understand requirements and delivering high quality solutions
Providing estimates for tasks, including design, development and testing
Extending and supporting the low-latency system to meet the business requirements
Assisting with design, prototype, build, and delivering a state of the art trading and pricing platform in FX space
Communicating with senior stakeholders to understand their requirements and manage their expectations of delivery
What we’re looking for:
Wide knowledge of HTML5/ CSS /JavaScript - particularly React/Redux
Experience in UX design & prototyping
Experience of JavaScript unit testing practices
Experience of working with a micro service architecture, cloud infrastructure and principles
Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience in Java programming
Experience designing and developing REST APIs
Good knowledge of Spring & Spring Boot
Experience working with application containers e.g. Docker
