They manufacturer and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture & soft furnishings for clients such as Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza.Job PurposeThe successful Furniture Estimator will be responsible for estimating a range of products & services within the company.Responsibilities but not limited to:-
* Evaluate incoming enquiries to ensure they are in line with company capabilities
* Identify and offer value engineer solutions to align with client's budget and expectations.
* Conduct handover meeting with project managers to ensure project is delivered in accordance with the tendered concept and to budget.
* Provide support to designers and project managers during the manufacturing and installation period of all orders.
* Accurate assessments of the materials and labour required to construct furniture.
* Understanding and interpreting client's drawings and tender documents.
* Revise quotations in response to any design alterations from the client or end-user
* Confident approach to question design intent to enable best manufacturing methods.
* Continuous interaction with our manufacturing and design teams to advance estimating skills and knowledge.Essential Skills & qualifications
* Over 5 years' experience within joinery/ furniture sector
* Ability to organise & prioritise tasks
* Appreciation of the need to get the job done on time and to the correct standard
* Ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative
* Actively develops strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues
* IT Literate- particularly Excel
* Good communicator, able to communicate at all levels
* Willingness to learn
* Attention to detail
