Due to the success of a new strategic direction, leading to an increase in income and impact, Newcastle Hospitals Charity has an opportunity for the right person to succeed in the new role of Individual Giving Lead. This new role will join a collaborative and energetic team who raise funds from a variety of sources including trust and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, events, community fundraisers and individual giving.One of the largest NHS charities in the UK, Newcastle Hospitals Charity (NHC) works in partnership with Newcastle Hospitals to fundraise for and to support a range of projects that go beyond public funding and enable the Trust to deliver its ambition and deliver goals that the NHS can’t do alone. Projects supported by NHC include the purchase of specialist clinical equipment; capital infrastructure and initiatives that support the health and wellbeing of patients and staff. We are proud to make a genuine difference to people’s lives each and every day.The Individual Giving Lead will create, implement and drive our individual giving fundraising strategy, supporting, nurturing and growing our fantastic network of community fundraisers, partners and donor supporter base. Responsible for managing a team of fundraisers and report directly into the Associate Director of Fundraising.Interview Date Thursday, 18 July 2024We’re looking for someone who is passionate about healthcare and building long-term mutually valuable connections.Form productive and positive relationships with individual donors, staff, community partners, fundraisers and volunteers, to grow income, evolving new products to align with sector changes and showcase our growth and impact on the ground. Strong relationship management skills is key to this role - the ability to connect with people on a very personal level, and with compassion.Develop and deliver an individual giving fundraising strategy, plan and robust prospect pipeline for Newcastle Hospitals Charity (NHC) to achieve agreed income projections, including the creation of a new regular giving programme.Ensuring that all aspects of performance, attendance, conduct, training, and appraisal are addressed in accordance with Trust Policy.Develop compelling fundraising and partnership opportunities aligned to the strategic objectives of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.Deliver an exceptional donor stewardship programme that meaningfully connects with supporters and grows our supporter base.Raise the profile of the charity by attending, leading and hosting key networking events and/or conferences and staying abreast of key sector insights and trends, representing Newcastle Hospitals Charity across a variety of contexts.Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the busiest, largest and most successful teaching NHS foundation trusts in the country, with around 16,000 staff and an annual income of £1 billion.We have a long history of providing high quality care, clinical excellence, and innovation in medical research regionally, nationally and internationally.We’re also proud to be the second largest provider of specialised services in the country.
