Main Function of Role:You will manage a range of accounting and operational responsibilities for a number of private equity and infrastructure funds and their associated investing entities. This will include tasks ranging from investor drawdowns and distributions, investment contributions and distributions and related accounting entries, responding to investor queries and assisting with all aspects of fund operations. You will also be responsible for monitoring the assistant accountants’ workflow and will review certain work that they prepare.The Fund Accountant will be allocated a range of externally administered funds to oversee. A key responsibility will be to review month end ledgers to ensure that these are completed accurately, on a timely basis and are replicated within the in-house accounting system alongside fielding other ad hoc queries from the administrator on these funds. The role will also lead the migration of various internally managed funds to outsourced administrators; the ability to establish relationships with external providers and to diligently review their output is key.You will be expected to manage your own time and workload supporting the Funds Finance Managers with outside of BAU projects from time to time and also with ad hoc queries from the business.What are the tasks and responsibilities of the role?Maintenance of the FIS Investran system, including reviewing journals posted by the Assistant Fund AccountantCompletion of month-end reporting for internal and outsourced fundsManagement of and liaison with outsourced administrators and review of information providedOversight and management of the internal control environment and controls manual within a Sox compliant environmentOversee and review the Assistant Fund Accountant’s workflow, or peer review other Fund Accountants workPrepare the Management and Performance fee calculationsReview investment valuation reports and assist with the Valuation Committee processReview cash management and forecasting prepared by the administratorAssist with the audit process and field auditor queriesAssist the business with various business change projects in order to automate and enhance the financial reporting and control processesManage the outsourcing of various internally managed funds, taking responsibility for preparing month end close and inputting accounting entries during the transitionAssist the Funds Finance Managers with compiling financial data and financial models for new fundraising and fund liquidity eventsRespond to ad-hoc investor queries and internal queriesCash management for external fundsMonth end process and reportingEnsure journals are posted accurately, and on a timely basis to meet month-end, quarterly and statutory requirements, either through posting journals, peer review or reviewing the work of the Assistant Fund AccountantEnsure investment valuations are received and processed to meet entity requirementsCalculate investor fees and ensure they are paid on timePreparation and review of client

noticesAssist with the preparation of quarterly reports and financial statements, ensuring that these comply with the Partnership Agreements and relevant financial reporting frameworksEnsure the information received from outsourced Administrators is of a high standardFund audits to be completed in line with business requirementsAssist the Funds Finance Managers with implementation of new technology, process improvements and policy document updatesEnsure stakeholder queries are addressed on a timely basisDo you have the following experience?Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Previous experience of Fund Reporting and responding to clientsPrevious Cash Management (forecasting, and production of reconciliations) experience· Operate in an ISAE 3402 and SOX compliant financial control environment· Experience of dealing with multiple deadlines, and prioritising tasks· Experience on FIS Investran or E-Front is desirableCandidate Profile:The individual must be an advocate of change, thriving in a dynamic environment responding to the business needs.
