A subsidiary of MassMutual, Barings maintains a strong global presence with business and investment professionals located across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.Job SummaryAssist with the preparation of financial and investor reporting for Barings Core European Property Fund (BECPF).Primary ResponsibilitiesReporting and financialSupervision of quarterly fund reporting cycles, including co-ordination and review of quarterly NAVs (IFRS and INREV), US GAAP reconciliations and payment of distributions;Assistance with annual financial / tax reporting process, including audit of the Fund;Preparation of actuals vs budget reporting;Preparation of Fund performance reporting;Preparation and review of quarterly reports;Ad hoc internal and external reporting from a wide range of stakeholders.TreasuryMaintenance of cashflow model in conjunction with the Fund Analyst and Fund ControllerTogether with Fund Controller, management of funds flows, including:Funding opex and capex;Funding new acquisitions;Repatriation of excess/trapped cash;Approval of expenses;Cash management; andFXInvestor communicatioPreparation of investor questionnaires and ad-hoc financial analysis requested by investorsSupport Investor Relations and Fund Analyst through timely and accurate responses to ad hoc queriesAssisting with the preparation of investor RFPsDebt raising and managementPreparation of periodic of debt covenant reporting;Management of interest payments, draw-downs and repayments;Dealing with any ad hoc bank queriesOperationsAssist the Fund Controllers with Real Estate transactionsDeliver process and control improvements through better use of data, excel, models and systems.Assist with the design and delivery of new systemsOversight of company secretarial function, working closely with the Fund's advisors and administrators to incorporate / liquidate entities;Management of fund corporate costs;Working closely with Fund Analysts to prepare and maintain business plans (budgets);Liaise with various internal stakeholders including Fund Managers, Tax, Legal, Product Management and Finance reporting lines.The Fund Accountant may also be required to assist with other projects as required by Barings from time to time.QualificationsStrong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Eager to learn and understand the broader technical aspects and commercial objectives of the Fund.System minded including advanced excel.Organised, self-starter capable of operating with little oversight.Ability to challenge and improve existing process.Sound written and verbal communication skills.2 years+ experience in commercial Real Estate, Luxembourg Fund structures and/or IFRS Real Estate Standards.CA Part qualified / qualified.#LI-JS1Barings is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer; Minority/Female/Age/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Individual with Disability/Protected Veteran.
