Functional Safety Lead Engineer

Location: Gaydon and Whitley/Hybrid working
Duration: 6 Months (rolling)
Position Description:
Functional Safety Lead Software Verification Engineer Control Systems Functional Safety Test Lead Engineer / Powertrain.
This role is responsible for the strategic lead, definition and execution of testing Tools and Methods for harmonised Functional Safety control systems solutions, consisting of multiple interconnected components applied to client vehicles for Powertrain.
Skills Required:
Strong system engineering and system analysis skills
Relevant experience of integrated system testing
Experience in ISO 26262 - functional safety
Experience Required:
Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector but the role may suit someone with experience in other transportation or safety industries
Experience in ISO 26262 - functional safety.
Working knowledge in safety analysis (HARA, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA)
