Freight Forwarder - Sea & Road Sea & Air Freight Runcorn, Northwest £30,000 - £35,000 (flexible depending on experience) Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm An exciting brand new role has arisen with a leading forwarder, for an experienced Freight Forwarder to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of end-to-end freight and project activities while providing excellent service to customers and colleagues. Administer and develop customer accounts efficiently, and provide reporting and analysis of various subjects of interest to relevant parties.The Candidate;Experience of working as a Freight Forwarder within import & export Multi-modal experience, ideally sea & road freightA strong understanding of shipping lines and suppliersCustoms entry and clearance experience is highly desirableKnowledge of customs paperwork and proceduresUp to date knowledge of import and export regulationsGood organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workloadsStrong customer service skillsAbility to communicate effectively and clearlyConfident decision making and negotiatingAbility to work under pressure and to deadlinesAbility to apply judgment and take the initiative.Must have a flexible approachBe able to work within a developing forward thinking teamDuties and Responsibilities;Ensure freight forwarding/coordination activities are executed efficiently and cost-effectively to meet customer requirements.Take responsibility for the accurate preparation, completion, dispatch, and delivery of various cargoes from multiple locations, ensuring correct documentation and processes for all relevant parties.Accurately calculate shipping and delivery costs, and prepare and distribute shipping documentation and information.Utilize multimodal solutions effectively to meet customer requirements, including container, road, rail, air, and sea shipments.Travel to different locations and offer remote services, coordinating activities where necessary, and completing all required documentation.Work under pressure and sometimes to strict deadlines, occasionally outside of normal office hours.Provide accurate information to tight deadlines and precise costs to internal and external stakeholders.Plan, obtain costs, and quote for end-to-end multimodal services.Plan, deliver, and record all work undertaken using Group systems as directed.Communicate effectively and promptly with colleagues, customers, and suppliersIf you have Freight Forwarding Experience and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply via the link.At Aspion, our core values have been built around the importance of transparency, innovation, passion and collaboration.
